alpine activity Invictus Games 2025

Connect with veterans on the slopes this winter!

At the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, Team Australia members were introduced to the world of alpine sports. For many, this was the first time they gave these snow sports a go, the Games providing a safe way to explore new challenges, push their limits and foster camaraderie.

This July, Team Australia is reconnecting on the Australian slopes, coming together at Perisher, NSW to continue their alpine journey, and are inviting other veterans to do the same. Through this activity, they hope to build on the positive experience they had over in Canada and continue their recovery journey.

About the activity

Set to take place between the 19th and 24th of July (dates TBC) this opportunity is open to all veterans and is run with the support of Perisher Resort, Snow Australia and Disabled Wintersport Australia. Current serving members are welcome to attend after obtaining any necessary leave and approvals.

Eligible individuals are also invited to explore paralympic pathway opportunities through the Para Futures program during this activity. More information on this program can be found here.

A participant-led activity, this opportunity is not part of the Adaptive Sport Program or delivered by Invictus Australia. Instead, this is a chance for veterans to connect in a supportive environment where they can experience the benefits of alpine sports. All participants must ensure they have their own insurance and medical coverage for this activity.

Those who are approved to attend this event are required to make their own travel arrangements, including accommodation and transfers.
