Join us for a come & try archery day for Veterans and families.
No experience necessary – just the willingness to have fun!
Why Archery?
• Stress Relief & Mindfulness: Concentrate on each shot and let everyday worries fade.
• Physical Benefits: Improve upper-body strength, balance, and coordination—even if you’re new or have limited mobility.
• Community & Camaraderie: Share stories, learn together, and enjoy friendly target practice with fellow veterans.
• What to Expect
• Intro to Archery: Certified instructors will show you the ropes— no experience needed.
• Adaptive Equipment: We’ll have gear for various skill levels and physical abilities. • Group Activities: Connect with others who’ve served, build friendships, and celebrate each successful shot.
• Sausage Sizzle: Afterwards we will have a sausage sizzle for you to gather around and chat with fellow club members and get to know the club even better and maybe even join up yourself.

Pickleball or bowls?
South Australian and Queensland defence communities have started off March strong, attending bowls and pickleball events earlier in the month.
No matter what event they were at, for the veterans and families attending, it was about more than just sport - it was a chance to reconnect, build friendships, and support each other in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
