After witnessing the lasting impact that the Community Sport Expo had on the South Australian and Canberra defence community, Invictus Australia is excited to bring their next expo to Western Australia on Sunday 15^th September, 2024. These expos are designed to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for local defence communities to have the opportunity to try out new sports and learn about ex-service organisations (ESOs), all while connecting and forming relationships with like-minded veterans and their families.  

The expo will be held at the Rockingham Rams Baseball Club in Cooloongup, WA 6168 and run from 10:30am – 2pm. With archery, bowls, rowing, parkrun, burhurt, sitting volleyball, dragon boating, pickleball, baseball and tee ball on offer, it is the perfect opportunity for veterans and family members to give a new sport a go and find out how they can continue to participate within the local community.  

Plus, attendees will have the chance to connect with ESOs and find out about how these services can collaborate to ensure the wellbeing of the defence community. The ESOs attending this event include:  

As well as providing information on support services these organisations will provide fun for the entire family, from giant board games to face painting, there is something for everyone.

Invictus Australia’s mission is to improve and maintain the mental, physical and social wellbeing of current and former serving veterans and their families through ongoing involvement with sport and recreation. Sport is a powerful tool in aiding veterans in all aspects of life – from rehabilitation to tackling social isolation and finding purpose.
