Team Australia’s New Uniforms: A Celebration of Connection and Resilience
Fast-paced, physical, and full of heart—Wheelchair Rugby, also known as ‘Murderball,’ is easily one of the most thrilling sports the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler has to offer! Competitors navigate the court in wheelchairs using strength, strategy, and teamwork to outmaneuver opponents and score by crossing the goal line.

Say hello to Team Australia’s new kit! 🇦🇺
The team’s uniform for the upcoming Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 25, unveiled over the weekend at their final training camp, will feature artwork created by Jody-Sherie Godfrey, a proud Meanjin and Gubbi Gubbi woman. The artwork, titled Connection, celebrates the power of community and resilience, themes that lie at the heart of the Invictus Games.
These high quality kits, crafted by the same supplier as the Tokyo and Paris Paralympics, @belgraviasports have ensured that every competitor feels supported and ready to shine on the global stage.

Thanks to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Team Veteran was able to reach new locations this Veteran’s Health Month as Tasmanian and Northern Territory communities donned the black and yellow shirts at their local parkruns.
For the first time, Invictus Australia was welcomed into Northern Territory and Tasmanian communities, where representatives attended five @parkrunau ‘s across these areas to connect with veterans and families in their local areas while kicking the weekend off with some physical activity.
In Burnie, Invictus Games 2025 Team Australia competitor Jo Lovell was there to represent Team Veteran, with Department of Veterans’ Affairs staff present in other TAS locations and our partner Ventia volunteering at the NT parkruns to show their support for this inclusive parkrun group.
