Invictus Australia and the healing power of adaptive sports
Invictus Australia has created this Harnessing the Power of Sport video series introduces adaptive sport and showcases Brigid Baker, a veteran seeking a competitive edge through sport. Brigid represented Tasmania in track & field as a junior, aiming to qualify for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. The Australian Army veteran now competes in a range of adaptive sports including athletics, wheelchair Rugby League and indoor rowing.
Introduced by veteran, Invictus Games competitor and Paralympian Curtis McGrath OAM, this video demonstrates the benefits and healing power of adaptive sport and Brigid’s recovery through sport and community.
