Overview: Veteran Engagement staff are the frontline of Invictus Australia’s operations, working to support the engagement of veterans and their families in local community sport.

Ideal applicants for this role are people who have a deep understanding of the Defence community (may be a veteran or family member of a veteran) and take pride in their ability to develop positive relationships with individuals and organisations.

They possess a positive attitude, are driven to achieve results for the individuals they support, are comfortable working autonomously/remotely and are able to represent Invictus Australia and our values publicly.

They can demonstrate expertise in organising events or activities.

Relationship management will be crucial to success in this role. Liaising with veterans and their families, with the organisations who support them (such as ex-service organisations), sporting organisations and community clubs, various levels of Government and other stakeholders in the local area. It is critical these relationships are managed in alignment with the national direction.

Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively create content and manage social media accounts for the local community will be advantageous.

Overview: This is an amazing opportunity for a driven individual to make a real difference in the lives of veterans and their families by working to support and grow Invictus Australia’s family of corporate partners.

The work of Invictus Australia wouldn’t be possible without the support of our Corporate Partners; these partners are highly engaged organisations who are contributing in many ways to our success.

The Director Commercial Partnerships will lead our commercial and sponsorship efforts. The role is to provide excellent engagement for our existing partners and to build on these important relationships for the long term.

As an organisation we have a lot of ambition and a vision to grow. This role will lead our efforts to introduce new corporate partners to our family who are aligned on purpose and vision.

Overview: The Director Teams, Pathways and Alumni is responsible for overseeing Invictus Australia’s work in Adaptive Sport and the underpinning system.

The role works closely with our partners at the ADF, through the delivery of the Adaptive Sport Program and the events this program supports – such as the Invictus Games and Warrior Games. Providing oversight to our organisation-to-organisation relationships and operations.

Beyond the Adaptive Sport Program, this role will oversee the development and roll out of initiatives to support unsuccessful applicants and those who have finished their time with the program. The objective being to provide a pathway through sport to aid everyone who applies with their rehabilitation and recovery long term.

Previous experience working in a team sport environment, especially international teams, along with a solid understanding of the Australian sport system, would be highly advantageous.

Overview: Using the values of the Invictus Games and the power of sport, this role will lead our team of Veteran Engagement Specialists and the rollout of our local community programs and initiatives. These activities aim to engage the entire veteran and family community, both from a rehabilitation and proactive health perspective, to deliver positive long-term outcomes.

This position will take lead on our relationships/partnerships with sporting partners and the veteran sector – aiming to maximise our reach and collaboration efforts. It will establish the operating framework for our activities and will oversee the ongoing evaluation and measurement of our impact.

The role is ideally suited to someone with a background in sports participation (with a national or large state-based organisation) and previous experience in program evaluation and monitoring (including working with academic partners).
