Come & Try Dragon Boating – Kawana, QLD

Defence Community – Serving, former serving and family members age 10+ are invited to come and try Dragon Boating. No experience required.

Beginners or experts, Dragon Boating provides an inclusive and accessible platform for individuals to connect, learn, and engage in a fun and rewarding activity.

Invictus Australia have partnered with the Australian Dragon Boat Federation to encourage the Defence Community to get involved in the sport with a Come & Try Day supported by the Kawana Powerblades Dragon Boat Club.

** Plenty of parking available and enjoy a complimentary morning tea after your paddle!

It’s always a crowd favourite 🏀  With five players on the court at a time, competitors showcase speed, agility, and sharp tactical skills, maneuvering their wheelchairs to outplay opponents, shoot hoops, and defend their baskets. With the same height hoops as in traditional basketball, this sport highlights incredible precision and endurance of all competitors.  Hear from Invictus Games alumnus and former coach Joel Vanderzwan as he shares his passion for this exhilarating sport.
