Involving a rowing machine called an ergometer, which simulates the motion of rowing on water. It’s low impact and a great workout!
Pickleball or bowls?
South Australian and Queensland defence communities have started off March strong, attending bowls and pickleball events earlier in the month.
No matter what event they were at, for the veterans and families attending, it was about more than just sport - it was a chance to reconnect, build friendships, and support each other in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Special thanks to Townsville Pickleball and Victor Harbor Bowling Club for helping to facilitate these events.

🏓 Ready to Give Pickleball a Go?🏓
Pickleball has been around for more than 50 years, but it is quickly gaining momentum across Australia and with local defence communities. We understand why, because it`s low-impact, easy to learn and family friendly. It`s also one of the newly introduced sports that will be played at the @birmingham_2027 and we can`t wait to see it in action there.
Through our ongoing partnership with @pickleball.australia, Invictus Australia helps facilitate pickleball events regularly, creating opportunities for the defence community to get involved, stay fit and enjoy some friendly competition.
