A Look Back On July 2025 At Invictus Australia
July was a month of powerful connection for the defence community. From surf-therapy programs, new community partners and expressions of interest opening for the 2026 Adaptive Sport Program, Invictus Australia continued their work to strengthen the lives of veterans and families through sport.
Among July’s important moments was the Australian-first Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), held in Sydney last week.
The four-day workshop brought together bereaved veteran families for an immersive experience in healing, peer support and remembrance. Adapted from a decades-old U.S. model, the program offered space for grief, growth and reconnection, equipping participants with tools to navigate their journey and safely reconnect with community.
We were honoured to help deliver this program in partnership with the Australian Government Department of Veterans’ Affairs, the Veteran Family Advocate Commissioner, Open Arms – Veterans & Families Counselling, the NSW Office for Veterans Affairs and other partners. Learn more here.
