Invictus Australia Welcomes Organisation that Runs the Pan Pacific Masters Games as a Community Partner

Invictus Australia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Events Management Queensland, formally recognising EMQ as a Community Partner of Invictus Australia.

The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a partnership for collaboration that supports veterans and their families to participate in sporting and recreational events delivered by Events Management Queensland, including the Pan Pacific Masters Games.

Invictus Australia provides the Australian defence community with opportunities to connect through sport. One example is Team Veteran, a community connection initiative represented across multiple sporting and recreational events around Australia, including the Pan Pacific Masters Games.

Community Partnership with Events Management Queensland

Events Management Queensland is the organiser of the Pan Pacific Masters Games, a biennial masters sporting event that attracts participants from Australia and internationally.

Through this Community Partnership, Invictus Australia and Events Management Queensland will work together to support defence‑connected participants attending the Games. This includes the inclusion of Team Veteran as a recognised connection point for veterans, family members, and supporters participating in the event.

Ryan McDonald, General Manager – Event Services, Events Management Queensland at Events Management Queensland said the partnership formalises existing engagement with defence‑connected participants attending the Games.

“The Pan Pacific Masters Games welcomes participants from a wide range of backgrounds, and this partnership with Invictus Australia provides a structured way to recognise and support veterans and their families who are attending as part of Team Veteran.”

The Memorandum of Understanding provides a basis for collaboration across major events delivered by Events Management Queensland, with a focus on participation, accessibility, and connection through sport.
