ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
This October, Invictus Australia will host the inaugural Invictus Australia Sports Festival, presented by ATCO. The Festival will bring together wounded, injured defence community personnel from across the Asia-Pacific region, creating a unique opportunity for connection, camaraderie and recovery through sport.
The Festival represents an important milestone for the Invictus movement in our region, helping to expand opportunities for adaptive sport participation and showcasing the positive impact that sport can have on physical health, mental wellbeing and social connection.

Veterans come together for Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 Selection Camp
Invictus Australia and Freedom Sports Foundation partner to expand adaptive sport opportunities for veterans and families

That’s the kind of thing you hope comes out of a weekend of sport.
And it wasn’t just happening in Canberra. Team Veteran members were also out at Spartan Melbourne and the Great Island Trek in Queensland - getting active, bringing families along and catching up with others in the community.
Three very different weekends of sport, with a similar thing at the heart of them: connection.

Two months on from the Invictus Germany Sports Festival, it is the connections that continue to matter.

Throughout July, Team Veteran members joined their local parkrun communities across Australia.
Each Saturday morning is another opportunity to move, reconnect with familiar faces and build a routine alongside others.
