Did you know? Research shows that sport can strengthen family connections and enhance communication, teamwork, and shared experiences, all key factors in supporting wellbeing for veterans and their families.

This was clear to see at the Hike and Explore around Rope and Gorge Falls in Townsville last month, where defence community members of all ages came together to enjoy the trails, waterfalls and each other’s company. The day was all about creating shared experiences, building bonds, and making memories that last. 🌿💛🖤

At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them. Lest we forget.

Today, Remembrance Day, we pause to commemorate not only those who lost their lives during World War One, but in all wars and conflicts since. We also remember the sacrifices made by those who have served, continue to serve and the support and sacrifices of their family members.

We know days like today can be hard for some, if you need support - please reach out to @openarmspeers
