Invictus Australia Sports Festival 2026
ADF Service:
I joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1993 as an Electronics Technical Weapons Systems Technician. Had a two-year posting to HMAS Coonawarra in Darwin, helping to support the Patrol Boat fleet. I found this my most rewarding posting. Assisting to prevent/deter illegal fishing and other operations around Australia's Top End. I also volunteered to help support the people and town of Katherine after the Katherine River rose significantly and flooded the whole town. Changed branch to Air Technical Avionics. I had a posting as a Senior Sailor to the Director General Technical Airworthiness, where I assisted in Airworthiness tasks. Discharged in late 2011.

My wife was also in the Navy, and our son has recently started his career in the Royal Australian Air Force.
